The personal care industry is addressing heightened concerns regarding protection from ultra-violet light and providing anti-microbial functionality, while maintaining products that are mild and non-irritating. Our zinc oxide products are produced according to cGMP standards in an ISO 9001:2000 certified facility and are FDA approved for use as active ingredients in personal care products. Marketed under the NanoGard^® trademark, current personal care applications where UV attenuation, anti-microbial activity, odor control, and/or anti-irritating functionality are sought include sunscreen formulations, foot powder, shaving cream, oral care, and deodorants/antiperspirants. Zinc oxide is so mild that it is approved for leave-on formulations and, due to its small particle size, is clear and non-staining. The NanoGard^® zinc oxide products are available as natural and functionally coated particles.
