Performance Coatings

Nanomaterials from Nanophase Technologies are capable of providing a variety of performance properties within coating formulations while maintaining clarity, due to their small particle size. NanoDur^TM materials include zinc oxide and doped zinc oxide for UV attenuation and alumina for abrasion and scratch resistance. These products can be used in functional coatings for metal, plastic and glass substrates. Additionally, the NanoDur^TM products can be delivered dispersed in water, organic solvents, polymeric resins or monomer systems for use in air-dry, thermal and UV-curable coating formulations.

Antimony tin oxide (ATO) and indium tin oxide (ITO) products, marketed under the NanoTek^® trademark, can offer static charge dissipation and in some cases IR attenuation in coating systems or when dispersed in composite materials. Due to the small particle size of the ATO or ITO products, clarity in the end use can be maintained.
