The NanoArc^TM brands of ceria and ceria-based mixed rare earth metal oxides, when incorporated into catalyst systems, have proven high thermal stability. Their outstanding oxygen storage capacity provides excellent conversion rates of harmful materials, such as nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons. Environmental catalysts, including catalytic converters for internal combustion engines, both diesel and gasoline, are a key focus of Nanophase Technologies. Additionally, our mixed rare earth metal oxides are being investigated in cutting edge fuel cell technology, finding utility in both stable electrodes and as key ingredients in low-temperature electrolyte layer systems. The NanoArc^TM products are single-phase, non-porous single crystals with very high reactive surface areas.
