Anti-microbial

Zinc oxide, copper oxide and doped zinc oxide products from Nanophase Technologies, sold under the NanoTek^® trade name, can be useful in anti-microbial products in applications including wood preservation, marine antifouling systems, various textile fibers, thermoplastics, surface cleaners and permanent coatings. Because the NanoTek^® products are highly stable to heat and a variety of harsh environments, long-lasting anti-microbial activity is a key benefit versus various organic biocides and aqueous chemical solutions. The small particle size of our NanoTek^® products results in little influence on the final formulation in terms of clarity, rheology, surface texture, gloss or physical/mechanical properties.
