Executive position with “first mover” nanotechnology company in the emerging nanomaterials industry requiring a dynamic professional with strong marketing and sales ability, management skills, and the drive to build a significant business. Must be able to interface with multiple levels in the customer base and in the company.

Through market analysis and potential customer identification, define, qualify, quantify, and close new market opportunities in vertical and horizontal markets, specifically in the coatings, plastics, textiles, specialty materials, electronics, and building materials.

• Drive product evaluation process including the definition phase and value proposition
• Cultivates relationships with customer’s technical staff and their management.
• Engages internal resources when appropriate in the sales cycle
• Provides product feedback (customer requirements, enhancements, etc.) to appropriate internal resources
• Identifies new opportunities in existing accounts
• Incorporates competitive data into the sales process
• Coordinate proof of concept from interest to close of sale

Requirements:

• Strong sales background in the chemical/special materials industry.
• A results oriented business person experienced in market and customer development, ideally in the advanced materials field with 8 to 12 years experience.
• Excellent presentation and communications skills
• Ability to manage entire sales cycle through prospecting, qualification, presentation, evaluation/proof of concept, pricing, contract negotiation, and collection
• Willing to travel up to 50%
• Technical background is a strong plus, but not required.
